Position Scope:

Cyntech Canada, a division of North American Construction Group, is looking for responsible welders to assist at various sites in Canada.

 

 

Welders

 

Responsibilities:

Fabricate items from drawings

Develop patterns for projects

Welding on aboveground storage tanks

- Floors

- Roofs

- Appurtenances

- Piping

 

Qualifications

- A creative approach to problem solving; adaptability and flexibility

- Have a concern for safety and awareness of safe working procedures

- Ability to work alone or as a member of a team with other tradespersons

- The ability to concentrate on detailed work

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects

- Demonstrated commitment to safety

- 3-4 years on the job experience to complement Apprenticeship training program

- With fully equipped welding rig

- Also looking or 2nd and 3rd year apprentice welders 

- Completion of Certified Welding Apprenticeship Program, Red Seal certification an asset

- CSTS or PST an asset

- Confined Space Entry an asset

 

 

Labourers

 

Responsibilities

Interacting with field employees and becoming a part of a maintenance team

Ensure compliance to all company, client and legislated safety policies and procedures

Using adequate and suitable safety equipment, including PPE. PPE is supplied and readily accessible.

Reviewing safe work plans / hazard assessment prior to job commencement

Assist skilled trades people (typically welders) and perform a wide range of tasks at construction sites

Loading, unloading, identifying and distributing materials and equipment

Ground-man for rigging activities

 

Qualifications

Must have valid class 5 driver's license

Demonstrate safety at all times

Physical strength and stamina

Manual dexterity

Previous construction experience

Ability to work at heights

Confined Space Entry

CSTS or PST

Standard first Aid course is an asset

H2S Alive is an asset

Experience around heavy equipment is an asset

Previous experience in operating skid steers or small loaders is an asset
