Job Description


Adecco Engineering & Technical is seeking a qualified MIG Welder for a direct-hire position in Garland, TX. Must be willing to work a 5:30am-2pm Shift, OT on weekends is available if wanted ($12-13hr DOE)

Position Summary
The MIG welder is primarily responsible for operating welding equipment to fuse metal segments together.

Essential Job Functions

  • Start power supplies and strike arcs by touching electrodes to metals being welded, completing electrical circuits.
  • Clamp, hold, tack-weld, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
  • Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify the proper supervisor.
  • Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material.
  • Examine work pieces for defects and proper measurements.
  • Move to next parts to next work station.

Experience/Knowledge/Abilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years experience in MIG welding
  • Able to work in a fast pace environment
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently without daily supervision
  • Possess effective communication skills
  • Required to lift boxes up to 50lbs
  • Repetitive work environment and non climate control
Overtime : straight time
