SUMMARY: Perform quality and productive welding in accordance with specified procedures using GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SAW welding processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Must be present at least 10 minutes prior to the start of shift to receive work instructions..
2. Must be at workstation at the start of shift.
3. Read and fill out Work Order correctly.
4. Fill out and use Product Identification Tag.
5. Perform semi automatic, automatic and manual welding operations in accordance with all applicable Weld Procedures.
6. Remain qualified to AWS, ASME, MIL STDS and any other required codes and perform welding operations by demonstrating proficiency in all applicable operations at least once every 90 days.
7. Understand and follow Nonconformance Product Procedure and use of Hold Tags.
8. Understand / follow maintenance duties.
9. Enforce established safety policies in accordance with OSHA standards and Universal Safety Manual.
10. Understand and conform to quality standards of customers and Universal Industries, LLC.
11. Understand and use all tools and equipment required to perform job duties.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
One year certificate from college or technical school and two years experience; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and ability to compute geometry and trigonometry.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, kneel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, talk and listen.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 120 pounds (shielding gas tanks).
