The family needs to buy a welder unit. There will be other projects in the future to justify a purchase. The present project they borrow a welder and it breaks. Repair was P1500. So I say "let's buy one for the future".
We could send one there Balikbayan box from USA.
What would be better?? Welder from the Phils???? what is quality like there? My bro-in-law says P11000 for 'good one'.
I'm not a welder but I do know that AMPS is important and setting the proper welding current is important. And an AC welder is ok there?? compared to DC welder??? DC welder is limited in how much welding time and you must stop to let the unit cool down.
The units I saw there from our visit look pretty scary. Basically a transformer in a metal box and the welding leads.
