Niche jobs: tube welder, aquatic ecologist, bra fitter | Blog ...

There are so many niche jobs that people don’t even think about. These are not odd jobs, mind you, they are niche jobs. They usually have long-term career stability. They are very unusual, but they do pay well. They are not selected haphazardly.

Some niche jobs are discussed below.

A bra fitter, as the name suggests, is as good as it sounds. Some women need custom-made bras, and a lot of women wear bras that don’t fit. Each bra could be made uniquely for each woman. That would mean you would need to measure each woman perfectly. You could also get lucky and make some matching panties for them. Women really have trouble finding bras that fit. They really have problems shopping for bras too. It is not limited to one type of woman with one type of size issue. You might have to take sewing classes if you are in the back-end of the business. However, if you just want to get hooked up with a bra-fitting company, you can probably fit and measure women yourself for an employee cut of the business. You can work with a bra-fitting company, and you’ll fit right in if you like women. If you like to measure women’s breasts, this is the job for you.

An aquatic ecologist studies the relationships between organisms in an underwater ecosystem. If you love fish, and if you have always had a dream of studying and working with fish, then this is one of the most awesome ways to get a great job. If you find that you are gravitating more toward fish and underwater ecosystems as a youth, then this is a good job for you as an adult. You will learn about fish and things you never knew about them will continue to surprise you throughout your adulthood.

A tube welder is a good job, but you usually need to get some certification in welding in order to do it. It is not an easy job to train for. It takes a lot of work. You also have to be comfortable with welding. It can be really harsh.
