Boilermaker and Welder for Casual Roles in a Kurri Kurri Mining ...

The Role
We are pleased to offer an opportunity for one boilermaker and one welder to join the Kurri Kurri Workshop team in a casual, short term, full-time roles. The primary responsibilities in these roles will relate to the fabrication and welding of QDS attachments and pods for mining clients. These roles are to cover for permanent staff working site based projects. The QDS and pods are mild steel and welding will be MIG using solid core wire. As the projects are pretty small there is not much positional welding though you will need to be able pass a vertical up weld test.

Skills and Experience
To be successful you will need:

  • A boilermaker trade qualification and demonstrated competency interpreting and working from design drawings (for the boilermaker role);
  • Demonstrated competency MIG welding, solid core wire, mild steel mining projects;

  • The ability to show you are reliable and availability to work the next 3 weeks Mon-Sat.

Candidates who also demonstrate experience fabricating or welding QDS attachments and/or pods will be highly regarded.
