6G Pipe Welder: Are You Ready For The Keystone Pipeline? (It Will ...

The proposed Keystone Pipeline is being held up by President Obama because he simply won’t approve it in an election year.

Why? The far left greenies don’t want it. However, it is so essential to our energy independence, and it will provide so many jobs, it will be approved. Get ready with your welding skills and kick off your $100K career with it.

Politics is a funny kettle of fish. If you want to get elected, you have to satisfy the people who give you money to get elected. Obama is getting millions from the unions who want the Keystone Pipeline which will run from Alberta, Canada to Texas, taking tar sands oil to American refineries.

The very green greenies don’t want it because it may break and hurt the environment.

Obama also gets money from the extreme greenies, who don’t want the pipeline. His plan is to make them happy by delaying the pipeline – and the unions know this. The unions are willing to hold off for a year to let the President get reelected.

That’s a bummer (if you are a pipe welder or want to be one) because it will mean a lot of work for a lot of highly paid pipe welders. However, the best way to have a career is to plan it – the delay of a year will give you time to get ready to make bank on the pipeline.

HOW?

Well, if you’re not a pipe welder yet, it will give you time to become one. How? One way is by attending pipe welding school. Unfortunately, most pipe welding schools are full. In addition, most pipe welding schools won’t take you if you are not a certified structural welder or at least a good enough welder to pass your structural certifications.

Is there another option?

You can teach yourself at home. Even if you have never welded before, if you have a safe place to weld. You must also be smart enough to learn welding safety so you don’t burn the place down. You can teach yourself to weld pipe at home, and faster and for a lot less money than attending a school.

HOW?

There is a particularly good welding text book called, “Welding Principals and Applications” by Larry Jeffus. Don’t let the term “text book’ fool you – this book is NOT boring! It is full of great illustrations, and photos, and it really covers what you want to know.

The book has been through many “Editions.” This just means that it has been updated (about 10 times) over the years. However, not that much has changed, so as long as you get Edition 3 or newer, you’ll be fine. Where? You can buy it on Amazon, or ebaY.

WARNING:

Safety is the most important aspect of welding because it is so easy to burn the place down. More than one welder was unaware of the fire raging around them because they were so focused on the arc. Don’t be that person. Make the first chapter you read the chapter on welding safety.
