The Underwater Welder To Be Released In August ...

The Underwater Welder is another one of those projects that you think will never see the light of day, and you end up forgetting about it. The Underwater Welder was first announced in early 2010 by Jeff Lemire, but he did said he had been working in the title for almost 2 years.

Looking at his blog today, we were surprised to notice that he will make an official announcement in July at Comicon and the book will go on sale in August.
Jeff Lemire was announced as part of the creative team that will introduce a new title from DC, National Comics, which will bring new characters unknown to the Dc Universe. Full Story Here.

Jeff is also doing Animal Man which is getting a very good reviews.

In The Underwater Welder, Jack Joseph is an underwater welder on an oil rig off the coast of New Scotland, Jack plunges into immense pressures on the seabed to do his hard work.
The more Jack delves deeper, the more he seems to distance himself from his young wife, and his son who is about to be born. Then something happens deep in the ocean. Jack has a strange and hallucinatory encounter that will change the course of his life forever.

Being a science fiction epic, The Underwater Welder is a 250 page graphic novel that explores parents and children, birth and death, memory and truth, and all things that are buried deeply in the characters.
