Job Title: HELIARC (TIG) Welder

Job Summary: Ohmstede Ltd. has an immediate need for Heliarc (TIG) Welders in Beaumont, TX.  Candidates must perform qualification test for certification to ASME code prior to employment. Experienced and previously ASME certified Heliarc welders should submit your interest as specified.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

?        TIG weld in various components (tube sheets, tube caps, end caps) in a heat exchanger;

?        Performs root passes tube sheets to shells;

?        Performs grinding and cleaning of welds as necessary to meet standards;

?        Documents weld actions and procedures by completing required paperwork and recordkeeping;

?        Maintains safe work environment by following procedures.

Qualifications: 

?        Familiar with ASME weld procedures and requirements

?        Able to pass ASME welding test in TIG (GTAW) welding processes

?        Knowledgeable in fabrication and fit-up procedures

?        Experience in the shell and tube heat exchanger industry is preferred, but not absolutely required;

?        Must be able to read and write English language and utilize basic shop/fabrication math skills;

?        Able to read and interpret shop drawingsWorking conditions: Heat, noise, dust, requires 50 lb. lifting ability and can work in unusual positions. Must be able to bend, twist, and climb as required in performing essential job duties.
